Ice? What ice? (Updated)
This goes out to both of the readers who still have power and are checking this blog for crucial information during this ice storm…
…just kidding. But seriously, due to a mind-numbing series of events, this week’s issue of the Jessamine Journal was not able to be printed. We found this out this morning, so we scrapped the work we had already done and put out a four-page Ice Storm special section (in three hours mind you — it was a wild morning). That section will be distributed to various locations around the county and will be available for free. If you are in Wilmore and want to pick up the section, I’m delivering them to Clucker’s gas station, Fitch’s IGA and Solomon’s Porch. If you are outside of Wilmore, the rest of the locations can be found here. Also, you can always check www.jessaminejournal.com for updates.
As far as the Jan. 29 issue that was supposed to come out tomorrow morning, I’ll know tonight at about 9 p.m. what will happen with that edition, so check back then. Until then, stay warm, and enjoy some of what I spent my morning doing while freezing my butt off.
Update: We are going to try to produce a lean version of the Jan. 29 issue that will have 14 pages and a few of the most important stories of the week. That will hopefully come out tonight around 9 p.m. It will go along with our six-page Neighbors section that we had already printed Monday. So you’ll get a 20-page paper, 14 pages of which will have been done today — AND YOU’LL LIKE IT.
