Courney Albin KIAC Player of the Week

Asbury got its first basketball award of the year with the announcement that freshman Courtney Albin was named Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week.

Wilmore, KY—The Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced that Asbury freshmen Courtney Albin was named women’s basketball player of the week for the week of November 17-23. She led the Eagles with 50 points and 17 rebounds over two games. Asbury lost both games this weekend 82-79 to Hanover and 79-74 to Transylvania. Albin led the team in scoring both games, pouring in 29 against Hanover and 21 against Transy. Albin also led the team with 10 rebounds against Transy and seven boards against Hanover. Albin leads the team in scoring on the season at 14.6 points per game. She also leads the team with 32 assists and 26 steals; she’s second on the team in rebounds at 5.3 per game.
